So off we go again, another trip with myself, Gary and Diane to China.
When we decided to jet off to China again so soon after our last trip in 2025 the main motivation was that we had a 2 year visa and could visit again without all the hassle and cost of a new visa.

Since then China is allowing visa free access to UK citizens for up to 30 days at a time which is great news for any of my readers who are inspired to visit this most interesting and friendly country.

And so I found myself building an itinerary for another adventure with Gary and Diane which we soon agreed would include Macau and Singapore.
So a 29 day trip took shape, which I hope you find interesting to follow.
We will arrive in Beijing in the north of China for a stay at the “Happy Dragon Alley Hotel” before heading off on the train to Tianjin on Sunday morning.

we will journey through China from the north to the tropical island of Hainan in the south,

via a trip to an ex Russian aircraft carrier, a stay in a Ming dynasty hotel in a medieval walled city, visiting one of the largest and oldest Buddhist sites in the world, and the ex Portuguese gambling city of Macau.

Then a flight north to Chengdu to see the giant pandas and a 3 day visit to Singapore before returning home.

So fingers crossed that many hours spent online booking flights, hotels and train tickets all works out ok .
We are now in London Heathrow airport waiting to depart on our Lufthansa flight to Beijing via Munich and it seems we are going to Wetherspoons for a pre holiday drink and brunch to get us on our way.
I hope you can follow us on this trip and please keep in touch with comments along the way.
Must go now as Gary is back from the bar with wine for Diane and me and so will see you again in China tomorrow.
