A book shop in Shenzhen
The following day we decided to visit “window of the world” , just a 15m taxi ride away.

I went to the ticket office expecting to pay for 3 x £18 tickets but was pleasantly surprised by being sold, 1 over 70, free of charge, 1 over 65 at half price and 1 adult at under 65 full price. They do take care of the elderly here!
I had lost my hat and as it was a hot sunny day , purchased a new one in “Ozzie” style.

In the morning my glasses broke, (£1.50 from Poundland!). So managed to buy a new pair from the opticians opposite the hotel.
Window of the world is a mini world with 43 locations and is actually a lot of fun although it is a big park and needs at least half a day to look round.

There were many coffee shops, ice cream stalls and restaurants around the park or get a drone delivery!

Also in the park were hundreds of school children on a day out and part of their tasks for the day was that if they found a foreigner they had to find out where they were from and what they thought of the park.
Needless to say we were in great demand for information and selfies. All the children were very well behaved though and welcomed us to China.

And so we had a great day and took a £3 20 minute taxi back to our hotel.
