Day 15 – April 3rd – Macau

Probably the main reason for visiting Macau are the famous casinos and off we set to see for ourselves. “To the Parisienne” I instructed our driver and ten minutes later we were dropped off at the half size Eiffel Tower.

Stepping inside we were blown away by the decor.

In the lobby

The place was huge and the interior was spectacular.

We ventured into the casino and were greeted by the sight of a room bigger than a football field with thousands of roulette tables, card tables and one arm bandits.

The “low stakes” casino

This was the low stakes casino where entry was allowed for everyone. There is also a high stakes casino by invitation only.

Fabulous painted ceilings
Some pretty fancy shops
This floor played tricks on your eyes
Super ceilings
The bistro
Even the lifts were gold!

All in all a fabulous place.

So went next door to the “Londoner” casino to see what they made of us.

It was ok but to be honest not a patch on the Parisienne.

The Venetian was great and several wedding photo shoots were taking place.

In the Venetian Gary and Diane took a gondola ride to celebrate their wedding anniversary, very romantic.

The happy couple

After this we were pretty thirsty but were surprised to find an Irish bar in the Venetian Casino and so relaxed for a while.

Later we went back to the Black Oyster and had a great time with Diane enjoying a super cocktail.
